Pic of the first real bar that I used to hang out at in Chicago, (besides the Metro where I ended up working for 9 years) I learned how to drink copious amounts of liquor at the Orbit Room. How i didn’t get arrested for some of the antics we pulled or how people (or myself) didn’t get killed, is only by the grace of God. This place was torn down to make way for condos and mini-stripmall type stuff. I hear there’s a different orbit room open in Chicago now. Doubt it’s half as amazing as this place used to be.

Digging through my stuff, i found some old art zines I made some years back. Four-Thirty in Finland – vol. 1. Each cover was a one-of-a-kind cyanotype, with orange block printing on the cover. Hand stitched. Insides were all half-tone goodness made from various illustrations and cyanotypes I had done and combined over the years. The name comes from an old inside joke at a place I used to work at. If I ever get some spare time, i’d like to start making art zines again….

My bud J., posted a pretty interesting history of some of the guitars he used to use on tour. Check it out here.

Tired rant – Even though I’m busier than ever right now, and the next 3 weeks will most likely kill me, I feel like I’m not creating anything at all. But, that I’m just merely surviving.

Studly Steve Walters. A Chicago homie. He printed my first concert poster for me, sometime in the early-mid 90’s. Congrats on the first 20, bro!
