Not at all dude. My mom worked at a law office as a secretary. She used to bring home reams of old inter-office letters, etc., so i could draw on the backs of them. She also brought home lotsa cardboard and the backers from legal pads. So, i used to make TONS of stuff. I still remember my two fondest cardboard creations. One was a pretty good sized Phoenix, from Gatchaman/Battle of the Planets. The other was a small, like maybe 3-4" tall Tardis. I used a little round Lego connector for the light on the top. The Tardis was layered and soo strong, that I literally could stand on it the top of it, after the light broke off. That is, until my showing off crushed it. This was back in the Tom Baker days, when Doc Who wasn't as popular as it is now. I was an uber-geek back then.

Man, i wish i had pics of all those things. I have a portfolio of stuff i drew when i was a kid, which my mom saved and gave to me. I might post it on my Tumblr feed some day. You know, in my "spare" time....

Ahhhh, thank you, kind sir. But I can't take credit for all of it.

Doug Braithwaite gives me an incredibly solid foundation from which to work my digital color magic.

btw - I still can't draw a straight line with a ruler either.

You know when i was a kid my dream was to work as a comic book artist. Turns out I could draw a straight line with a ruler no matter how much I tried. It's maddening the amount of talent wrapped up in this page you have on display.

Got to see some of Tony's pages from the GN a bit back when I was down at Jimmy's. They looked like you're going to have a ton of fun working on them. Glad to have the same colorist on the GN as the series so the feel is consistant.

Can't wait!
